Nutrition

Good nutrition is the foundation for good health. Every person needs the four basic nutrients: water, protein, carbohydrate and fats in their daily diet as well as vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.

As Hippocrates said all those years ago "Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food"

Fresh seasonal food and produce provides us with the essential nutrients needed for our bodies to function optimally and maintain homeostasis.

However due to mis-guided food choices and every day stresses such as; physical, environmental, chemical, emotional and mental stress, our bodies aren’t always able to keep up with the nutrient demands that are needed to keep systems in the body running optimally. The effect of these stresses may eventually cause a deficiency or an excess in vital nutrients.

As a Nutritionist Rebecca will assess your current diet and discuss with you where there may be an imbalance in your intake of certain foods and nutrients.

Rebecca will discuss which foods provide vital nutrients that are specific for the condition you are presenting with, aswell as for any past health issues. She will also help you make easy and realistic changes to your day to day food intake, along with appropriate daily meal planning and education around particular eating habits and behavior that may be effecting maximum absorption of nutrients into your body.

Rebecca has a passion for educating her clients on healthy nutritional intake, eating habits and behaviors to ensure homeostasis and vitality is maintained in your body, so that you are able to maintain good energy levels throughout the day and restorative sleep at night.
